When I was trying to create a name for my doula services my beautiful, little girl called out “Daily Doula”. I smiled. Then it just made sense. The word "doula" comes from the ancient Greek meaning "a woman who serves". What great intuition from a small voice. Serving one another through love, support and encouragement should naturally be a daily action.
Philosophy
• I believe that every woman should have the support, nurturing and encouragement she needs during pregnancy, childbirth and after birth.
• I believe that all women have the natural strength and instinct to have an amazing and satisfying birth experience.
• I believe that the subject of childbirth should be seen and discussed in a positive manner and should be celebrated rather then feared.
• I believe that all women should have the natural right to make decisions and to choose a birth plan that suits their needs, culture and beliefs.
• I believe in unconditional support and love to be provided to every woman going through the wonderful experience of having a child.
